Clayton Winston Collins is born....

It is with extremely thankful and ecstatic joy that Allison and I are happy to announce the birth of Clayton Winston Collins at 3:50pm on May 27th, 2008.

Missing his due date of May 16th and showing no interest in coming out, Clayton hit the snooze button after Allison was induced on May 22nd in what can only be described as an unbridled symphony of inactivity. Knowing this may be one of those developmental phases we’d heard so much about, we returned for round two on Memorial Day hoping he had grown out of his comfort zone. In response and affirmation that he definitely inherited all the family genes - and reflecting the moxie of his mother - Clay opted out of joining us again on May 26th after a second inducement. In so doing, Clay chose to join us by the grandest of entrances on the 27th via C-Section with a full audience of hospital staff – the applause was rampant.

Here are the numbers:
Birth Date: May 27th, 2008
Time: 3:50pm Pacific
Weight: 9lbs, 10oz.

Clay - welcome to the world buddy, you are a lucky little boy to have such great people to take care of you. And it doesn't hurt that you are a little looker!

Very, VERY happy for all of you! Wish we could visit.

Praise Jesus! I love that swunched up little face. What cute little dude. Can't wait to see more pix. BUT, I will wait patiently for your world to stop spinning first. You're loved from Virginia where Aurelia is very sad to not meet her new little friend.
