Thank God for Grandmas

Wow! This last week has flown by but at the same time it feels like so much has happened...and it has! One week ago, right about this time, Clay was born. He had his first doctor visit today and it was also our first official outing. He is doing really well, he gained 4 oz. since we left the hospital and he grew a quarter of an inch, give or take. Friends had mentioned that they cried when their babies got their first vaccine and I couldn't really relate until today. Clay got his Hep B shot today and it was waterworks all around...it was a chain reaction - me and Grandma were both teary-eyed!

Dave took last week off but had to go back to work (no paternity policy but he's able to leave promptly from work everyday to get home) and thank GOD for Grandma's. My mom is going to be with us for as long as we want. It seems she and Clay are bonding and giving us the help and rest I need. It is sooo appreciated.
