It looks like he has his mouth open a smidge. When they were taking these pictures he was moving around a lot, kicking and opening and closing his mouth. He has enough room to twirl around...for now... but in the next three months babies gain the bulk of their weight. Today makes 28 weeks and is the start of the third trimester. He weighs about two and a quarter pounds and his measurements are normal. And just to be safe, we reconfirmed it and he is still a boy!
It was tough to get a clear shot because the umbilical cord was floating around in front of his face which causes the shadows. It was so cool seeing his face for the first time, it brought tears to my eyes. At one point Marty even put his hand up to his mouth at which time myself and the technicians let out a collective 'aaaawwwww'. These 3D images are really cool, I'm growing and feeling the kicks but once I saw the images it's like 'Omagosh. He's a real baby, this is really happening!' 12 weeks left, doesn't that seem like short amount of time? We can hardly wait to meet this guy!!!

i'm so excited for your new adventure! baby boys rock! and regardless of what you may hear, you CAN dress them cool. and mess with their hair.

These pictures are great! It's amazing what you can see with the 3D/4D ultrasound. You don't have too much time left now, so hang in there. Our countdown is in the TEENS as of today!!
