Fourth of July

Last Saturday our neighborhood got together for a Greenbelt Party. Part potluck, part reason to use the expansive mass of grass the runs the two mile length of the neighborhood. It has also been an unusually cool summer.

Our street also backs up to the little league fields. We thought they were off for the season but they had some kind of playoff game the day of our gathering and 45 minutes before we were about to set up in the shade outside our house a little league team sprouted their easy-up and camped out. There is never anyone other than dog walkers out on this part of the grass and it was just ironic that the day the neighborhood decided to get together there was company. We sent Dave in to act as political ambassador armed with a load of 'free' baseballs that have come over our fence and the team quickly wrapped things up and we were able to proceed with our libations and soccer game.
About three weeks ago a rope swing appeared in the tree outside our house. The older kids love it and Clay likes to swing when Dada is holding him.
Bathtime Burrito! I can hardly bend over now so bath time is all Dada.
Dave's eyes, hair and build; maybe my nose, mouth and cheeks? I wonder what this next one will look like. I will be amazed if he has brown eyes!

A favorite thing to do - Jump on the bed and get buried in the blankets.
